WLOS — ASHEVILLE, N.C. A partnership between one of western North Carolina’s biggest industries and one of its biggest advocates joins together just in time for Sexual Assault Awareness month.
During the month of April, 13 breweries who are part of the Asheville Brewers Alliance will donate $1 for each pint sold to OurVoice, a sexual assault survivors advocacy group that provides counseling, advocacy and education.
Chris Foraker of Hi-Wire Brewing and Jeff Anderson of Urban Orchard Cider Company joined Evan Donovan in the News 13 studio to discuss the partnership.
After the show, Aiyanna Sezak-Blatt and Daniel Lee of OurVoice joined Evan for a special Facebook Live session to dig a little deeper into why partnering with an industry that is sometimes associated with sexual assault is so important.
